Sossusvlei Desert Lodge adds hot air ballooning

The exquisite Sossusvlei Desert Lodge in the NamibRand Nature Reserve of Namibia, south of the world famous Sossusvlei, has announced that from 2013 all 3 nights stays at the lodge will receive a complimentary hot air balloon safari over the vast Namib Desert.

It is also including the Sossusvlei day excursion as one of its included activities. This had been an added extra, but nearly everyone who visits the region wants to see the Dead Vlei and so it makes absolute sense. (Other activities available at Sossusvlei Desert Lodge include guided morning nature walks, guided quad bike rides over the dunes and afternoon sunset drives in search of desert-adapted wildlife.

This is really a great offer and really makes it worth spending an extra night. So often people rush through Namibia staying only two nights at each lodge and this will encourage our guests to stop a little longer and really appreciate the quiet magnificence of this awesome part of the world
